Vintage Sterling Silver Large Two-Barred Cross of Lorraine Pendant Necklace
This stunning little vintage treasure is a sterling silver cross of Lorraine pendant necklace. The Cross of Lorraine is a two-barred cross symbolizing French resistance, faith, and hope, famously adopted by Charles de Gaulle and Free France in 1940 to oppose German occupation. Originating from Hungary and adopted by the Dukes of Lorraine, it has deep connections to Joan of Arc, the Crusades, and heraldry. The pendant is marked LJ and measures approx. 3-7/8" tall (including the bale) x up to 2" wide. The gorgeous sterling 2.24mm 32" long chain compliments the pendant beautifully. The necklace weighs 43.89 grams. Please bear in mind this is a previously owned and loved vintage treasure which shows signs of wear. Please inspect all photos prior to purchase.

Returns accepted when SawDust Finery is notified of request to return within 48 hours of original receipt of package. Item must show return shipping postage within 7 days of original receipt of purchase. Please ship back in original condition, with original packaging and insurance to ensure safe travel.
If item was shipped with an appraisal card, the appraisal card must be returned with item of purchase. Non receipt of appraisal card upon return will result in $85.00 deduction from return refund, as the appraisal card costs $85.00.
Items that have been altered or damaged while in the care of the buyer will be assessed upon return and purchaser will not receive full refund.
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
